Prahlad Jani, who has not eaten food or drunk water for 74 years of his 82-year-old life, will be kept under observation by the a wing of the defence ministry for 15 days. The members of Defence Institute of Physiology & Allied Science (DIPAS) want to understand if this process can be replicated in others’ bodies. The observation is being undertaken at the Sterling hospital.
Jani grew in Charod village in Mehsana district in India. He claims to have been blessed by a goddess at the age of 8.He says he has survived several decades without food or water because of a hole in his palate. Drops of water filter through this hole, he says, sustaining him.His followers call him ‘mataji’or goddess.
He has willingly accepted to be a subject of this exhaustive project where he will undergo a battery of advance tests, including MRIs, scans and blood studies. Jani, dressed in a red sari, nose ring and sindoor, spends his time in hospital meditating, offering prayers, keeping silence and giving blessings.
DIPAS Director G Ilavazhagan said, “Jani was earlier tested for 10 days at the hospital in 2003. Neurophysician Dr Sudhir Shah and his team had conducted the tests to certify that Jani did indeed live without food and water. He also did not pass out urine or stool.”
Life insurance:
Mr Rajiv Sharma, CEO of Sterling Hospital, revealed that 35 doctors were monitoring Jani. “We wanted to insure Jani’s life. However, due to certain legalities, insurance firms refused our request. Finally, the state government insured his life so that the study could be conducted,” he said.

Come reso noto alla stampa internazionale dal giornale locale Ahmedabad Mirror, l'uomo ha passato 10 giorni sotto esame in un ospedale dello stato settentrionale del Gujarat, nella città occidentale indiana di Ahmedabad. Un team di medici del Defence Institute of Physiologist and Allied Science (Dipas), un centro di ricerca della difesa, l’ha monitorato per scoprire quale sia il segreto di questa sua straordinaria capacità di resistenza. Un uomo, infatti, è in grado di sostenersi solo per alcune settimane senza ingerire cibo, grazie agli accumuli di grassi corporei, e per pochi giorni senza poter bere.
Ospitato in una stanza ospedaliera speciale, sorvegliata 24 ore su 24 da telecamere, Jani non ha ingerito ne assorbito nessun tipo di liquido o alimento, non ha potuto farsi il bagno, ne defecare. L'unico fluido che gli è stato concesso è stata una piccola quantità di acqua, cento millilitri per la precisione, da usare come collutorio (senza ovviamente avere la possibilità di essere ingoiato).
L’asceta era già stato esaminato nel 2003 da un’altra equipe medica, che nonostante i numerosi esami e accertamenti, non era riuscita a spiegare scientificamente il fenomeno.
Al momento, nessuno è ancora arrivato a capire con esattezza come l’indiano possa alimentare il suo organismo. Gli scienziati che hanno monitorato pochi giorni fa il suo stato fisico, hanno passato al vaglio varie ipotesi, senza però riuscire a comprovarne nessuna con certezza.
Secondo uno dei medici del Dipas, Sudhar Shah, sembra che il guru indù “sia capace di produrre urina nella sua vescica e poi in base alla sua volontà di rimandarla in circolo”, ovvero che l’urina che si forma all’interno della sua vescica venga subito dopo riassorbita dalle pareti della stessa.

The country is glorious because of its glorious past, its country with tradition of seevs-such seevs who heard the call form space through having centers and that call became famous after conversion into literacy form. And punished was formed to explain Vedas. Still the whole world does not know about it fully, but seevs and saints who have glorified India, are still there in the valleys of Himalayas, the blanks of Ganga and Yamuna and adidst the thick dense forests of Girnar and in the caves. But they are hiding. They are living since thousands of years. They don’t have any concern for worldly affairs. They are based in Himalaya’s remote since many years. One can get the idea about it by seeing fires in remote mountains, at night. They are not coming into contact with humans since many years. I love Himalayas, so every year goes to Himalayas for wondering and to have sight of such sears and I bow down to them.
Maadi is one of those seevs. He chose to remain unknown; he remained in hiding for years. He didn’t want to be worshipped, neighed did he want to set up big Ashrams you have crowed of followers. And that is why, today after 76 years world comes to know a genius is living without food and water, and that too where? In the caves of Arasur mountains, where he lived for years midst tiger and bears. He had no desire, just achieving Yoga Siddhi, by grace of dirty, he was living in this own happiness. Sometimes he used to go to his relatives and devotees and blessed them.
Maadi has achieved a lot, which is to be seen only in great achievers. To which world calls miracles today. Sometimes, when he gives blessing with overwhelming feelings, some miracles take place.
Let us have introduction of Shri Prahladbhai Jani, known by nickname of Maadi, who is living without food and water and without attending to natural call. Let us bow down to him.
Shri Prahladbhai Jani, who is known by nicknames like ‘Madi", "Jay Ambe Chundadiwala Mataji’ is native of Charada village of Mansa Taluka in Gandhinagar District of India. Born in Brahmin family of father Shri Maganlal Vidhyadhar Jani and mother Shrimati Santoba, he is younger to Shri Vasudevbhai.
He got his primary education up to third standard, in Charada itself. We get the idea of his nature since his childhood. As like, son’s character is known from cradle, he used to play the role of Mataji and his classmates known this very well. He was firm and wanted to study, but as his father was serving at Poona, with Sheth Shri Vitthalbhai Sankalchand Shah, as a cook and all the children including 6 sons and daughter were living in charade, so father naturally thought that it all the children come to city, they will be happy, but all were too small.
Sheth Shri Vitthalbhai was native of Vasai, a village near to Charada ad Vaishnav by birth, so he has got profound, unshakeable faith in Shrinathji Bava, and he had ceremoniously installed idol of Shrinathji Bava in his home, so it was necessary to carryout worship as per Vaishnav tradition. Sheth himself was doing worship but as he had not enough time, he had a regret that Bavaji’s worship is not carried out properly. So he decided that if some priest is employed for that, it would be the best thing. So, this issue was being discussed in the home. As he heard such discussion, Shri Maganbhai decided, that by the grace of Shrinathji, one of my sons can be brought here. So at a proper time, Shri Maganbhai told about this to Sheth Shri Vitthalbhai and Sheth was so happy. As he was familiar with the nature of Shri Maganbhai , his sons also must be having similar qualities, he gave his consent and when the also chose youngest son Shri Prahladbhai, at that time Shri Prahladbhai was 9-10 years old . As there was call from father, he dropped study, and left for Poona, and after reaching Poona he was occupied with the worship of Shrinathji Bava. As utmost cleanliness is to be kept in Vishnu religion, we can see, even today these virtues of cleanliness in Maadi.
He was doing worship of Shrinathji w3as Shah Oneness that all the members of family would be looking at it and they also would be engrossed in worship and all were quite satisfied with his worship.
Because of profound impact of his earlier culture, when Maadi was worshipping Shrinathji, he got a glimpse of Ma Amba in Shrinathji, and he would be engrossed on seeing Maa. As such thing was happening more and more, once he talked to Sheth that I see the glimpse of Maa Amba while devoutly making prayer. At that time it was laughed at the talk of small boy then how this is possible, and he could not believe this. But, one surprising things happened. As Prahladbhai got into trance and because unconscious, all were stunned as to what was happening? Sheth got the hint that this child is not an ordinary child, but is a saint of highest rank. Perhaps, he is not born in this world, to do such ordinary task he is superhuman. His goodwill towards Shri Prahladbhai increased day by day. Shri Prahladbhai was also helping in father’s work. Everybody was impressed by his skill and cleanliness. At that time, one incident occurred.
Three persons came to him and proposed whether he wants to go with them. The small child, as not knowing anything, who they are? He immediately refused those persons varnished. (According to Maadi, these three were Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh). After some days, another incident took place. Three women came to him and they also proposed the same, whether he wants to go with them? At that time, as a little boy, he had heard in his village that some women selling limbs come and take away small children by luring them, so immediately refused to go. As in the life of Shri Ramakrishna Parmesans it happened in Maadi’s life too. All the three women showed their original form and three goddesses Maha Kali, Maha Laxmi and Maha Saraswati were present before him. Because of this culture of earlier births, he bow down to them and told that, how can I come with you? From where to eat and drink? I am very small, I don’t even earn anything. Putting his hand on his belly, Prahladbhai asked, what about this? And goddess put her finger on Prahladbhai’s tongue and gave him nectar that now, you will not need this (food and water) and since then Prahladbhai had nectar in his life, and Maadi gave up food and water at that movement.
As the small boy was not eating and drinking anything, all the family-members and his father too was worried. As days passed, this thing spread further and nobody was believed that how can this be possible? (Even today, many people believe and say that is it possible live without food and water? It is bogus).
Shri Prahladbhai, living in the form of Mataji, asked goddesses for evidence in support of this thing. Then goddesses told him that, go and see in your house, there will be two lamps, one of ghee and my footprints will be there. If you can see these things, then consider them as my sings. Even today both these lamps, one of oil and another from ghee are lighting there incessantly and footprint too are there.
After these sings, Maadi does not like to be there in Poona, he does not find interest in the worship of Shrinathji. And he decided strongly with to go to the place of Maa Ambaji and after few days, after taking permission of Sheth he left for his native from Poona.
After having Darshan of Ambaji, he came to Charada and had a darshan of lamps of oil and ghee as signs of Maa and bow down to footprint, then lived in Charada for some time and to show the truth he stayed at the farms of Shri Ghemarbhai Chaudhary and Madhubhai Laljibhai Chaudhary.
After that Maadi used to live as a woman. Especially, in the times of Navratri, when he would start playing with Garba on his head, with swords in his hand and with the sweet-sounds of Zanzar in his legs, it would seen as is Ma Jagdamba herself is present and playing Garbas. If sometimes Maadi gets the fits of emotions, Kanku would be dropping from both her hands and he would just go on throwing it and people would be blessed.
Sometimes, he would start playing rounds with some girl, holding her from among people and he would so rotate that the girl would feel something unnatural. My wife Chanchalben, who is from Charada, had such an experience, and she had seen the manifestation of Maa while playing Garba. Maa would run away to her shelter at, Andhila’s banyan tree and the able devotees like Verjikaka, Bhalubhai Bhatt, Velji Madhubhai would follow her and bring back Man carefully. The branches of this banyan tree are spring of Maa, Maa would play there on these branches. Maadi has darshan of Maa, there only. Even today, people call it Maa’s there.
One, Chandukaka (Raipurwala) went there with Maadi at night and Maadi showed him lamps on every of banyan tree and showed him the banyan three in the lighting form. Chandukaka was blessed and Chandukaka told me (Bhikhabhai Prajapati), a lot about it and while taking he would get thrilled sometimes, large black bee living on this banyan tree, would string also to some people.
After the blessing of Maa, Maadi remained unconscious for some days, and would lie down unconsciously without doing any work. As he stopped talking to anybody, so villagers believed that if there is any evil spirit is there? In such a state, Dr. Premshankar examined him, but nothing was found at the end of examination. So all the people believed that some evil spirit has hounded him and so took him to Suvala village near Visnagar, to Chehar Mataji at one Rabari woman’s house. She after seeing Maadi, said that nothing has happened to him, but he is in such subconscious state because he is in mediation about Mataji (As people were considering Ramkrishna Paramhans as Mad).
1. Though of Existence
(Maa overwhelmed)
Once, when once a woman was blessed by Maa Ambhaji at a nearby village of Solaiyaa, he was taken there and both of them embraced each other in such a way, as if they were known to each other since many births. Thereafter the word spread around that Maa is in blessing mood.
He even cured puppy injured in its leg due to an attack by buffalo.
If somebody asked about time, he would tell time, without seeing watch.
Even in the village 151 persons felt such passion and there are many miraculous incidents. When he was told to make them calm, he asked and people agreed for Garba for each house and then Garba started at Bhrahmani Mata’s Chawk. The entire village would come to see Garba and the village will be vacant at night and entire village will gather in Mataji’s Chawk. And for the fear of theft, watchmen were kept in the village and Sarpanch served notice to Mataji to stop Garba, but afterwards everything was settled.
At that time, Vanechand Shah from Kalol, came to see Mataji’s Garba, he came with a garlmul and he fall down in the well, but he was not conscious. He was brought out but his clothes were dry (there was water in the well) (There also was present a professor who didn’t believe Maadi, who had filed a case in the court against Mataji, but later, with the case as judge the court asked him to do so. It so happens, as there are many scoundrels in the world).
After sometime, Maadi went to Mumbai. He stayed at the resident of Sheth Jamnadas of Charada, and later shifted to residence of Somnathbhai. At that time there was a Brahmin devotee of Mataji from Pandhdhari. He was looking after Maadi and the talked of Maadi’s miracles spread around and people started coming there, so Maadi shifted to Nemana-ni-vadi( Sion). There, Ramanbhai, Kanubhai, Sheth Sunderlal, Thakorbhai Desai, Anant Cheve became his followers. Thakorbhai Desai took great cave of Maadi, he stayed there for 10-15 years and Maadi made great parlance there. He was given a room, where he lived for the whole day. He was coming out only for ten minutes just to take bath and again he will go into the room. The room was kept locked from outside. Thus he made penance for six months only in one single room.
Since he has kept silence (According to him, because of too many years of silence, his speech has gone forever. Even today, Maadi speaks, but we cannot get the idea of what he is speaking. Only very close associate knowing colloquial language can understand.
For providing truth, Maadi was admitted to Sir J.J. Hospital, Mumbai. He was kept in a room under consultant vigil, and nobody was allowed to see him. Doctor would examine him daily, but they could not find anything. He was completely healthy. Thus, he was kept without food and water for 45 days in hospital, but nothing was found and doctors too declared that Prahladbhai can live without food and water. He did not even drink water, and still he gained five kilograms weight. Doctors were surprised, this could not be understood. Doctors proposed to take him to their country (England), but then Governor Morarji Desai refused to take such a genius from taking away from our country and so the proposal was dropped.
Wondering and Penance
As Poona was near to Mumbai, Maadi went to the forest of Mahabaleshwar and made great penance. On that prasoon mountain, people frequently visited Mataji. Once one German woman with paralysis come to see Maadi and he recovered with the blessing of Maadi, so he organized Panchkundi Vishnuyaag, Maha Yagna to fulfill Maadi’s desire (Dt. 17-2-1959 to 21-2-1959). According to Marathi daily, in spite of too much cold. Some ten to twelve thousand people come for darshan in this valley of Vinanagar.
Raipurwala Chandubhai’s brother Paramanandbhai, went there in the mountain with Maadi, where he felt too thirsty, while climbing, and he asked for water to Maadi, and Maadi below of Trishul on a nearby stone, water flowed from it and Parmanandbhai anenched his thirst.
Maadi made great penance in Mahabaleshwar and made great achievement. There too nature took tests of Maadi. Once it heavily rained there and it rained so heavily, that it became difficult to stay o lame. Maadi climbed a tree and he was getting wet for a full week; on the tree. What difficulties Maadi has suffered? Mataji too takes tests of Maadi. After great achievements, wearing tiger-skin, with Trishul in hand, with big hairs, exactly like Shankar, Maadi comes to his native, Charada.
And then the villagers gave him a spectacular welcome and the whole village welcomed him. Welcome of Sterling Hospital world look very dull before it. There are no words to describe that.
Chandubhai Adhavarga 74 living in Pipaldi-ni-pol Raipur is devotee of Maadi. He was introduced to Maadi, by his elder brother Parmanandbhai. He was living with Maadi. Just imagine, what would be Girnar like before fifty years. In that Bharat, in dense forest, in thick greenery, once Parmanandbhai got tired, while walking with Maadi in Girnar. And he was hungry too, but whom to tell? Maadi would not eat anything. Finally, as he could not bear, he said to Maadi, that he is too much hungry, how he cannot walk. Maadi realized his position and looking to the sky spread his hand and there was a dish full of food and eh told, "Take this and eat’. And Parmanandbhai was too happy and he satisfied his hunger. Such is the achievement of Maa. One such incident happened with Kailashbhai Joshi (Mumbaiwala), and that too in when Kailashbhai went to the caves of Gabber, Maadi gave him the pulse of Methi, and Kailashbhai relished those the pulse and still remembers its tatse.
One such incident of getting disappear occurred when he went to Girnar, the people had gone to hid him Farwell. People went up to where they could go, but as dense forest began, and as it was impossible to go ahead, all the people stopped there now, it was the time to depart with Maadi. All the people chanted ‘Ambe Maa ki Jay’ and thus as they chanted for two more times, nobody could know as to where Maadi disappeared in to thin air like a kite!! The mystery is till infect. Thus, he also has the achievement to get disappeared.
There after, he wants to Bharat Van. There are many Aghoris, even they would harass Maadi, bearing different forms. Even take away his things, break them take the form of tiger and harass him. Maadi was fed up because of all this and once, getting angry, he attacked with Trishul and the tiger was dead ad there remained the dead body of Aghori, and Maadi got relief from it.
Maadi got self-realization here on a stone named Siddh. Maadi got man achievements in Girnar.
When Maadi was happy, when he is in mood, and starts talking, he would talk such supernatural things, and if you ask he would also answer in such mood! Once I asked that, Maa! Tell me whom you met during circumambulation of Girnar!! Then he holds I really saw Ashwathama without head, king Bharthhari and Gopichand. These saints are still present on the soil of Gujarat. Ofcouse, only meritorious can seen them.
After Girnar, Maadi lived in the forests of Shurpaneshwar for a year, they was dense forest. Forest personnel were looking after Maadi. Maadi lived therefore a year, by making a hut at a distance from Shurpaneshwar Mahadev temple. Nobody was there, but the forest personal would bring required things for Mataji. Over a period of time, this thing spread and people too started coming to forest for Darshan. Articles about Maadi were published in ‘Kismat’ being published from Mumbai. (These issues are not available at present). They were getting more and more publicity.
After taking leave of Shurpaneshwar Mahadev, Maadi mad circumambulation of Narmada Maiya in three years, three months and three days. Mataji did his penance in water in Narmada Maiya. The whole body was bloated. During this time, Maadi had Darshan of Narmada Maiya.
After that, Maadi lived in mountains of Rishikesh for some time, but he decided that now he would go to Gujarat, so he decided to come to Abu. Even today there exists a cave of Maadi near Gurushikar at Abu. But as this place was under the jurisdiction of army, one cannot go there. Even there it was dense forest. There, when Maadi required anything, he would blow his Shanku and a servant named Dharmo would come and would do his job. Sometimes he would bring necessary things for ghosts. There was a water spring hereby and this spring would satisfy all the requirement of Maadi. Maadi made here for a year.
Here there was a Yogi named Khandepuri and he too was bearing different forms. He too would come to Mataji in the form of tiger would have this Darshan. Here, many saints and Yogis lived in far remote areas and as there was fear of wild animals, people would rarely come here. Still some avid learners without any fear, would wonder in forest but could not have darshan of any Mahatma. Of course, they can have darshan of their live burning Dhuni and people feel blessed looking the dhuni.
Even in Himalayas, on the other bank of Rudraganga, in Gangotri, there are many such Yogis living since years. They are there. But the region is so deadly, that it was not possible to go there. Sometimes, if you go too far away on the bank of Rudraganga, from Pandava Gufa, you can see far away a fire, that was the only thing to get satisfied with. But where is our luck for such a thing? Yes, if you become saint, you have to give up fear. Today, we have move fear from human beings, than wild animals.
Now, to live in proximity with Maa Amba, Maadi left Abu and found out this cave in Ambaji to live.
This cave of Gabbar is supper natural. Before 35 years, when there no roads, only dense forest was there, when wild animals like Tiger, Bear, Chittah and deer were living there, Maadi found out this cave. This was natural cave near the cave of Dungarpuri Maharaj’s cave still there exist such small ate. It had small wooden logs as it is doors. And Maadi did his penance for in this cave. According to talks of people, two tigers always used to live with Maadi. Maadi had famed them. They were brought and lived in Maadi’s cave till they died. Even such deadly animals got the support and warmth of Maadi. People were not coming near him cause of tigers. Even otherwise, it was a dense forest. It was very difficult and deadly to descend from one hill and to ascend on another Still, very close followers used to go there and blessings.
Maadi did not require anything expert enters for bathing and sanitation. What would be need? But devotees would vetury in the evening insert in absence of any facility. Even today, nobody expert Maadi on live there. It is very fear my and then is also fear of danger of Chittah.
Because of such inconvenient Haribhai Chandulala and TATA Company, together, got the give renovated and pleased strong doors and a tin shade of 210’ x 15’. 100 steps have been built to climb the mountain. A small well has been built between two hills for the requirement of water. So, this facility is enough. Earlier, water no available from stevans of river on mountain, but now in the years of famine, water is not available even in the dark. He does not have any feeling of darkness, but for devotees like us, there is constant fear of darkness during nishi heart. It becomes difficult to move my in the night. But it feels that problem of electricity is primary.
You can enjoy the nature, only during the night holts in cave. Milky white right on the full moon light and filtering starts, smell of plants, hisses of wild animals at nights, and peace of loneliness fills the mind with you and our live would be blessed, if we get the chance to climb Gabbar.
I was blessed once, to clime Gabbar at 1 O’clock in the night of full moon night of Chitra maas. I have not forgotten that night today, even after 10-12 years. We get the joy of climbing Gabbar only on full moon light. We feel the proximity of forest goddess and Maa with slow, sweet breeze and with the supernatural glory of Gabbar, and the need for prayer would not arise. We feel satisfied and our mind filled up with joy. When we are in cave, we would not feel that we are in forest and Maadi have blessed the cave with his penance. You would feel atmosphere blessed. Only when we come out, we feel like being in forest. The atmosphere of this cave is super natural. If you go and know, then only you will realize about what is real penance? What is its influence? It would be realized only with firsthand experience. It is a great fortune to have religious feelings, spiritual atmosphere and silence of solitude. If you get the chance to enjoy such experience then, consider yourself to be blessed.
Maadi would always be in the joy and mood of prayer of Mataji, round the clock. Maadi in social life and Maadi in cave, are two completely different. There, I had darshan of me such supernatural saint. Of course, not as a business leader for wealthy officer. There you have to go only as a devotee and then only you will get something. If you go as an officer, you will not see the form of Mataji. You have to live in cave according to its rules.
Maadi would not allow slighter violation. If you commit lights, error, Maadi will get angry. He would get angry, but after some time, he would be normal. And that is the feature of saints. You will have to treat on the edge of a sword, to live them. You will have to live like German. There won’t be any convenience, you will have to live with inconvenience. If you can live without everything, then only can you live in cave with Maadi.
Maadi himself do the cleaning of the cave. And it is so clean that you will be glad just to see it. Even surrounding trees and stones are also kept clean.
Once, when Maadi was in happy mood, I asked, Maadi, would not it do if you did not keep so much cleanliness? The he told me, If my Maa comes in night, then her feet should not get dirtily would I not keep such cleanliness for my Maa! Then, one he was making roads clean, by picking small stones on the road, I naturally asked, Maa, stones would fall again by wind why are you picking them up? If you would not make this road such clean! Then also he gave the same answer, Dasbhai (Sometimes he calls me Dasbhai). I am not making this road for you or people coming over here I am making this clean for my Maa. Don’t believe that you are the only person coming by this road! If my Maa comes on this road rhythmically, and if this stone pinches her, then I will be sad! And else I have to do! I have to do! I have to live only for the worship of Maa, and only for her!
Realization of Truth
With secret mediation yoga, enlightening his own soul, with the object of welfare of the whole world, Maadi prefers to live only in the cave of Gabbar.
I want to live secretly only and don’t want to show the world, and where do I need money by showing it off? Neither do I want to establish big Ashrams. I don’t want anything. I only want to do service to humanity selflessly, to the extent I can do. And with this feeling, living gladly with his own soul, even if he didn’t wish to come out. Maadi had to come out. And the cause for it was his devotee Hiraben Raval, who is known as Dasama of Kadi. She was engrossed with Mataji since childhood. As Hiraben was working at Shuklji’s place, she frequently came in the contract with Maadi. She was taking care of him and thus, she herself became Mai Bhakt. Even today, Hiraben lives without food since 15 years. She is serving Maadi with all sincerity. Even we are pleased with her service to Maadi
Such selflessly serving Hiraben became the victim of cancer. She came to Dr. Dhaneshbhai Patel (Vadaj’s) for examination. He advised for operation. Hiraben got nervous as what to do? At that time Mataji consoled her that get the operation done. Why are you afraid? I am there and Hiraben’s belief strengthened and the day of operation was decided. He told me (Bhikhabhai Prajapati) that we have to go to Dr. Dhaneshbhai’s clinic with Hiraben. I on Monday morning, we both reached there. Before going in to operation theatre, Hiraben saw Ma Jagdamba in Maadi and only because of his presence, Hiraben felt happy and she was taken to operation theatre. Operation was finished, and till Hiraben recovered i.e. from 8’Oclock in the morning to 4 O’clock in the evening, we both sat in the chairs before one another. Such great personality too sat in chair for eight hours in clinic for devotee. Such is the love of Maadi towards devotee.
After, operation, doctor advised that you will have to take food, they determined Hiraben refused and said that, sir, I would not take food. I will take bruits but not food; the doctor insisted that it won’t do without food. We cannot live without food. Then hiraben told to doctor that the Maadi in red clothes, who is with me, has not taken food or water since last 65 years, then how does he live? Dr. Dhaneshbhai was surprised that, how is this possible? Doctor asked to Maadi regarding that and then he talked to other doctors. Doctors started coming to see him. And thus, talked to Dr. Sudhirbhai Shah about it.
Dr. Sudhirbhai Shah is a devout, with a belief in Indian culture. Earlier, he had examined Hira Manek Ratan, who is living only on boiled water. So he was knowing about it, and he believed it to be the and contacted Maadi, and persuaded him for some tests. Maadi agreed. Finally in May 2002, Sudhirbhai Shah examined Maadi, got him examined by other doctors. MRI test was carried out blood test were carried out. Expert doctors like Dr. Sudhirbhai Sha, Dr. Naneetbhai Shah, Bhargav Sutaria, Vidhya Ashibhai Barot performed various tests and all the tests were normal. There was no change in bio-chemistry. They were surprised and finally they confirmed that he does not eat or drink anything neither does he urinates or excretes. In the edition of Gujarat Samachar dated 3rd August, 2002, the was an article and the world came to know that such a genius lives in Gujarat. There after V. Selvamurti, Head of Physiology Dept, under Defense Ministry of Government of India came to Gandhinagar and met Maadi and asked everything\. He also examined him and was happy. He was happier when he saw simplicity, austerity and frankness of Maadi. He was also happy seeing agility and strength of this genius living without any pretence. He thanked him and told that this is the only genius in the world. Because he is member of world scientist’s conference. Because of all this Maadi got publicity, so people would harass him. Though, the crowed of the people was gathered at Chanduybhai Adhrya’s (Raipur) place. And the day it was published in the newspaper, Maadi showed his unwillingness to stay in Ahmadabad and came back after few days. But, in Surat too people had started gathering for Darshan. Thus, for the saint who wanted to keep away from publicity, publicity followed him. People came to know about true facts.
Dr. Selvamurthy told Dr. Sudhirbhai that keep him in a hospital for some days and carry out all bio-tests. Where nobody should come near to him. And he should live alone. It all this is roved experimentally, then we can show the whole world. Dr. Sudhirbhai too wanted to show the whole world, wanted to convince the whole world as to what Indian culture is and what we Indians are. So he requested Maadi frequently to get admitted in to hospital for 15 days, and then we can prove, by carrying out different tests, so as to what is the truth?
Maadi was frequently requested, but no convenient time of Maadi could be adjusted. On day, when I went to the clinic of Dr. Sudhirbhai Shah, he told me that you, devotees persuade Maadi that he should come here and allot 15 day’s time.
But because of foundation of temple and festivals like Navratri, it was not convenient for Maadi.
Maa has built a new grand temple, before a year, where Maadi’s old lace was located. At that foundation ceremony of idol too was carried out. At that time idols of Maa were brought from Jaipur and were kept in Brahmin’s wadi and Maa performed Puja on foundation day and at that time he weapad, being overwhelmed and flow of cleanly started from his hands, and splashy rainy drops over head, the whole village became blessed and then idols of Mataji, Shri Ganeshji, Batuk-Bhairav and Hanumanji all the four excellent idols were founded with the hands of Maadi and Mataji instilled like into it, and the idols even today look lively. Vasudevbhai performs worship, puja and prayers twice a day and his niece Dollyben decorates Maa and takes care of Maadi.
Whenever Maadi is at Charada, Dollyben takes care of him and serves him as it she is serving real Mataji. She takes care with such emotion and is over ready to follow his single world. She also know that why should I miss this fortunate opportunity to serve Maa. We should take advantage of it and believing so, she serves Maa for every moment.
I went to cave on full moon day of Kartik , and at that time, as we were talking, I told, that Maadi, Dr. Sudhirbhai is frequently telling us to get admitted in hospital, so we can show the world, what is the truth? If we don’t do it, then perhaps, the world will believe this to be false. Where do we need any publicity? Or where do we need money? But, le the science know that man can live without food and water and it’s a challenge for science as to what’s the truth? Let them find out, what we have to do in it? Maadi agreed.
However, during this period, various institutes as well of persons individually even offered the they will bear all the expenses of hospital, but you just give us date. Thus, Maadi decided to get admitted in November, 2003, but he did not what any body’s obligation. So, on 8th November, 2003, he informed at the cave Ambaji that, we till La- admitted into hospital at Ahmadabad, without anybody letting know about it and on 9th November, 2003 we came to Ahmadabad and told me to inform doctor, that we are ready.
I want to the clinic to see doctor on 9th November. And told doctor that Maadi is ready and wants to get admitted on 12th November. Doctor said that how only two days are last and how would he possible. I told him obligingly that at present Maadi is ready and is you refuse they perhaps he will not agree, that he is in happy hard at present and it tomorrow he is not having the same mood, he may refuse. Do meantime two or three times dates were given to doctor got ready and told me that – on bring Maadi to clinic tomorrow on 10th November and, we went to two clinic of doctor on 10th November and doctor said about everything, Maadi was in happy mood, and he agreed! By – now doctor was perplexed as there was only one day let – and he had to talk to the hospital authorities and also to Association is elysian, at all the reparations has to he mode, still everything was managed in one day because of effort of Dr. Sudhirbhai Shah, Director V.N.Shah was informed who himself belonged to Mansa and one of the trustees Shri Manibhai too belonged to Vasai, so they hard regards to few Maadi. So they accepted those things with much joy are 12th November, 2003 was fixed. All the people from charade were glad by making Phone –Calls. Vasudevbhai, Chndrikaben, Chhanabha, his sons Mehul, Autul, Sureshbhai Soni and other devotees from Rajpur, including Chandubhai, Shaileshbhai, Virendrabhai, all were present and everybody was happy true. Maadi had agreed for it. Doctor allotted room No. 604 on the sixth floor of Sterling Hospital and told that, only one person will be allowed to stay with Maadi, nobody else would be allowed to see Maadi, because we have to put this fact before the whole world, and there should not happen anything which may create on out of doubt. So you all should co-operate and with everybody agreeing for it, it was decided that I, Bhikhabhai Prajapati should live with Maadi, because I was living in Ahmedabad with Maadi ad also living with him in the cave too. So it will be good for Maadi. Maadi too told that, Dasbhai, you will stay with me, and nobody else I felt being blessed.
Maadi was kept in Room No. 604. Bathroom and Toilets were sealed. A glass was fixed on the door. There was a strict vigil, so that nobody can see him. Camera was installed to watch who is coming to see him. And time keeper was installed to get the idea of his activities for every minute. A cassette was to be prepared. And this arrangement was mad quickly.
When all these preparations were being carried out, on the first day of 12th November 2003 Maadi was kept in ICCU for 24 hours, where it can be seen that neither does he drink water, now does he urinate.
Doctors believed that a person can hardly live for 6-8 hours without urinating and after 12 hours he cannot bear and if he stop if it would start poisoning and if a person does not urinate for 24 hours he would die of poisoning this is the thing as per medical science. But Maadi lived there 24 hours happy and all the machines were attached to him. All the changes in the body were being recorded. But there was no charge recorded in the machines, neither was he affected became of not urinating. He was simply laughing. The whole staff of ICCU became devotees of Maadi in a single night. After 24 hours, when Maadi was taken to Room No. 604, the staff at ICCU was unhappy that they would not like without Maadi. This is the miraculous effect of proximity of a saint! All of them became devotees only in one night. Doctors were convinced that Maadi neither drinks water nor urinates; also he does not eat anything.
On 13th November, 2003, Maadi was taken to Room No. 604 There too, nobody was allowed to go. Only on can see him through glass. Maadi greatly cooperated and also told that I don’t want to wash my face neither I want to take bath. Seal everything and Maadi did not even was his face nor did take bath for a week. After six days, 100 M.gm. water, duly measured, was given to Maadi for washing his face and even the used water too was measured. Though Maadi was not feeling comfortable washing face, but as he wanted to show truth, he agreed for it.
Around 400 doctors and 20 committees and few more expert doctors were examining Maadi. Sonography was carried out twice a day and everyday blood test too were carried out to observe changes in his body.
On 13th November, 2003, Sonography was carried out and there was 200 m. gm. Water in his urinary bladder. I asked Sonography expert Dr. Sanjay Shah that even it he does not drink water, from where did it come? He said science accepts the facts that whether man drinks water or not, it gathers in the kidney, but it is surprising that Maadi does not urinate. And it is surprising that there is no effect on his health.
Four to five times a day, his blood-pressure was checked. But his blood pressure was constant once there was no change in it. His pulse too was normal, even if he ascends stairs or moving around. There was no change in his blood.
Again on 14th November 2003, when sonography was carried out 250 ml.gm. water in urinary bladder was found out and in the evening there was 400 ml.gm. water. Dr. Sanjay told me that water. Dr. Sanjay told me that water is increasing in Maadi's kidney,
will anything happen? For a moment, I too was worried that as the water increases, what will happen? I told Maadi, that, Maadi water is increasing in kidney, can it not be decreased? He told definitely, it can be decreased, tomorrow it will be lesser.
Dr. Sanjay was not prepared to believe this, but on 15th November, water decreased again to 150 ml.gm. in urinary bladder. Again, Maadi said that tomorrow there will be no water. And it so happened that on 16th November, only 80 ml.gm. water remained there in bladder. Dr. Sanjay told that get it complete emptied. And Maadi said, tomorrow it will be empty. And it so happened that on 17th only 8ml.gm. water was there (bladder is considered empty if there is less than 10 ml.gm. water). It is less than even one drop. Dr. Sanjay was stunned. Maadi where did this water go? Then, laughingly, he said, it is for you to find out? How can I know? That, how do you make it disappear? Then Maadi said that through Pranayam, you can dry water. In our language of Yoga we have to was too rivers Ganga, Yamuna, which is known as procedure of ‘Dhoti Dhovani’ And through this ‘Dhoti Dhovani’ water gets consumed. And those rivers, in the language of yoga, is known as Ida, Pida i.e. Ingla and Pingla Maadi. And that destroys water. Such is our yoga. What is impossible? How ere Indian Rishis and how are they? Thus, earlier, before 15 months, when doctors looked through Sonography, there was full water in kidney. At that time doctor said that, he does not drink water, and here are rivers flowing inside. They also were surprised that day.
Thus during 18,19 and 20 by making water increase, decrease, he surprised all. They also were expressing gratitude by bowing to Maadi. Thus, twice a day Sonography study, decided that, Maadi does not urinate, but these were scientist doctors, they began suspecting that perhaps he might be urinating at night. Though his guards were always with him round the clock. So, now there was only question that whether his clothes might have got wet. Because of their such doubt, they were asked to examine his clothes, but nothing was found. A panel of doctors, comprising of Dr. Gadhvi Saheb, V. N. Shah Saheb, Ashokbhai Shah, Sudhirbhai Shah, all the four doctors were discussing that is there anything doubtful anywhere? Then, I told to doctors, that if Maadi wants to urinate or drink water, how are you going to stop him? He would be lying here and take other form and go outside, then what will you do? Then they asked me, whether this is possible?
Can it happen? Then, I told them that, you are the witness to fact that Maadi is in hospital since the morning of 12th November, and the same day he went to my house and directly entering kitchen, asked my wife, sister, what are you making? He addresses my wife as sister, because she is native of Charada. At that time, she knew that Maadi is in the hospital and he too (Bhikhabhai) is with him. Maadi came? So she asked, Maadi are you not going to get admitted in the hospital? You were in the hospital. Then, he said, no not today, I am going to get admitted tomorrow. Then she asked where he (Bhikhabhai) is? Then he said, he must here gone somewhere, I don’t know. Maadi returned after some time. My wife believe it naturally, but when I went back home, they she asked that Maadi was not in the hospital? I understood everything. Maadi charges him form. I had heard about it, but this was the first-hand experience. I told this to Maadi, then he took it very lightly and said, that such things happen, and he just evaded that matter.
Doctors were surprised after hearing this. Thereafter the doctors disappeared. The second thing about Maadi, was regarding his weight. Maadi’s weight was 40 kg. his weight was getting reduced gradually. One day it was 38 kg. then doctors were suspicions about, how this happened? He talked to Dr. Selvamurthy at Delhi that such thing is happening, through every day reports were being sent to Delhi and America and doctors were working as per his instructions. They, he said that, Maadi living in the open air, in forest, is living here in closed four walls. So this is possible. Keep him in the open. Then it would increase next day, Maadi was allowed to have a walk for half hour and the terrace of the hospital in open air, along with security guard. Since then, Maadi was happier, but after 5-6 days he said that, Sir, you to scale is giving false measure. He scaled his weight for different times, keeping the pointer in four different directions. Then all the four measures were different. How this happened? And, lastly, Maadi, showed the correct weight. So, the scale was in order, but they were Maadi’s Miracles.
Maadi started walking in the open and again, his weight was increasing. Doctors were Satisfied.
There were no changes in the blood tests. But Dr. Prakesh Darji, who is kidney specialist at Sterling, found that urea in increasing in the blood, and he was talking to another doctor, in my presence, that urea in blood is increasing. If it rises above this, then Maadi will have to be taken on dialysis or he will have to be discharged. (This was after seven days).
I also was confused that, what is this? And if Maadi is discharged then the whole exercise will prove to be futile. I was saddened. Seeing I sad, Maadi asked me that why I am sad? Has doctors said something? Then, I said that, Maadi, Doctor say that here has increased in the blood, and if it increase further, dialysis would have to be carried out. He laughingly said that, why are you mowing, tomorrow, it will be reduced. But it was doubtful that, how can this be possible? There was a phone-call from Charada, and I talked to Chandrikaben about this, the she told me that don’t be afraid at all. This is his miracle. I have seen his body, lying like a dead body for seven days. And at that true maadi has gone outside. So don’t be afraid. This is miracle. I was relieved to some extent, and that day, expert from specialist laboratory took the blood-sample of Maadi. I told doctor that let me know the report tomorrow. Doctor was under obligation of Maadi, and believed him to be divine. Next day, doctor said that blood-urea has been reduced. I was happy. Doctors too were relieved. Thus, a one week examination was over, doctors were happy, and it was a challenge for science.
Even after a week, there was no charge in enthusiasm or agility of Mataji. On seventh day, when he was taken for Sonography, Dr. Sudhirbhai was there. He said, Mataji, let us go by lift, then mataji refused, and insisted to go through stairs. Dr. Sudhirbhai too was getting ready to come through stairs, Maadi was ahead of us all. We all haribhai, Dr. Sudhirbhai and other doctors went upstairs. After ascending stairs, when Maadi’s pulse were measured, they were 44 (Normal) instead of 40.. While doctor’s pulse went up to more than 100... Doctor said, these pulses are as good as that on an athlete. Maadi is quite healthy. Then we told them, you come to the cave, and see how agile Maadi is and how does he climbs hills and do hills work?
Many such tests were carried out. All the experts come. All the faculties of body were thoroughly examined by specialists. Even in the sonography, intestines were found to be normal without taking any food. Everything was normal no changes were there. If anybody does not take food since so many years, intestine would collapse, but there nothing so happened. Each and every part of his body is good and healthy as that of 16-20 yrs. Young.
One day, eye specialist examined his eyes and he was happy that even at this age, eyes are so powerful? He was happier to know that Maadi can see better at night in the dark. I confirmed that he can easily find anything in cave. He can find anything in the darkness.
But, for our knowledge, Mataji should the doctor, another delicate eye in one corner of an eye. Looking at that doctor asked, what is this Mataji? What is this eye for? Then he said, that is divide eye. That Sanjay found in Mahabharat and he described Kurukshetra. I too, when close my eyes, can see whole world. Ican see past and future of a man. In his words. T.V. sets on. The screen is moving. I can see everything.
Isn’t is surprising? Who has got such divine sight in this is to see for our eyes.
Psychiatrists took psycho-test of Mataji. They declared that Maadi is simple and would never tell a lie or speak untruth. Such is his pure test. His pulse are such that he can never lie.
Astrologer, seeing his lines, said that, so for I have not seen such lines. It is my fortune that I can get such a hand to see. As these lines are that of a special person, that astrologer has taken with him, the photographs Mataji’s hands. He thanked Maadi for let him take photograph.
Now, let us talk about, M.R.I. Test, which is a rare test. He was taken to Ved Hospital for test, where different cells of brain were studies and it was resultantly declared that, such brain and its cells are rarely found in any body. Doctors were happy looking such brain. It was such a brain that it would put to shame any young person. If it is studied, It would be highly gainful. But for that a medicine has to be given and Maadi did not agree for that. For that, we have called Chhanabhai, from his home, but we too did not agree. Through, it was decided from the very beginning that, only blood can be taken from the body Maadi, but nothing would be allowed to let enter her body. Though doctors heavily insisted, we all did not agree.
Three things from Maadi’s body are precious. (1) Divine eyes which can know about past, future and our mind. (2) His brain, its cells, which, if studied, world can know much more about human beings. (3) Nectar flowing from his jars (nin). In a reply to doctor’s questions, Maadi had said, that he is living with this nectar. So saints can live longer by achieving this nectar through khechari Mudra. But they have to try for three hours for getting it. Khechani Mudra in one of the most difficult type of yoga. It can be acquired in long run. Only then, can one get a drop of it. For Maadi it is natural. This nectar is flowing in this mouth, showed its fiber. Doctors were surprised.
This is my ford. And I live by it. If this nectar is made available to doctors for laboratory test, it can be greatly helpful and space scientist can get relief from the food they have to take with them. But from where to get this nectar? How can Maadi give it? Because it’s invaluable gift from nature, it’s divine gift. How can it be wasted? Maadi has become famous all over the world only because of this nectar.
After all the examination, doctors could not find anything. Scientists were not in a position to answer this mystery. To fathom this mystery of nature, endeavors of may births or yoga are needed. And when the whole world knew this thing through interest, the whole world was surprised.
But, before this can be released through internet, doctors of Sterling Hospital organized a press conference, guide the media and on 21sth November, 2003, Association of Physicians of Ahmedabad informed it in their letter in the press conference. All the doctors described as how they all carried out various tests and what they found, before press representatives in the presence of Maadi, Chandubhai Adhraryu, Bhikhabhai Prajapati, Haribhai Chaudhari, Sureshbhai Soni, Trustees of Mahudi Trust Lalitbhai, Premchandbhai, Kamleshbhia and trustee of hospital, Shri Mahibhai. Doctors, presenting the details, asked Maadi, various questions, and all the details were given to media and reporters. The next day all the newspapers and television channels carried out the news on 22nd November, 2003.
As people real about this on 22nd November, 2003, there was a huge gathering of the people at hospital. Finally, it was announced that Maadi would be staying at Haribhai Chaudhary’s bungalow for 2-3 days and whoever wishes to have darshan, can hear it. And from 24th November, there was a huge crowed at Haribhai place. There were long queues, and people were gathering in large number. People would have darshan, and walk away. Haribhai Chaudhary’s family served greatly for three-days.
This is the incident of Sterling Hospital, but as we were discharged form hospital, we were to go Ambaji for darshan. On the next day, on 23rd, in the morning we left for Ambaji, and on the way received a phone-call that the people of Charada went to give a rousing welcome to Maadi, we were asked to reach Charada on our way back. Maadi agreed. We informed that we would reach there at around 2 O’clock in the noon.
And as our car reached Charada cross roads, there were around four-five thousand people to welcome. Maadi was not even allowed to get down from the car and he was carried by the people and was made to sit on a gaddi on a decorated truck and then people fired crackers and new general and danced and charted ‘Jay Ambe, Bol Maadi Ambe’ and had shobha yatra in Charada. It is beyond description. Even today we get overwhelmed by recalling that joy and warmth. Truly, that event is indescribable for all us.
Looking such a felicitation of Maadi, Haribhari Chaudhary proposed that Maadi should be felicitated by the whole village and villagers allowed. The proposal and decided to organize Mahapuja of Mahapuja of Maadi by the whole village.
The news was released to all over world through internet. The news started pouring from even hook and corner of the world. People from all over the world including Spain, Korea, USA. Started cowing for an interview with Maadi. Village Charada is witness to that.
At that time Maadi expressed a wish to organize Mataji"s Devi Bhagwat. It was decided to organize on a big scale and it was planned after two months. On 5th February, 2004, programme of Samast Mahapuja at Charada and from 7th to 15th February. The programmed of Devi Bhagwat was organized.
Mahapuja because Mahapuja in true sense and around fifteen thousand people enjoyed Prasad after performing Maadi’s puja. The responsibility of this Mahapuja and Bhagwat Saptah was taken up Ganeshbhai Chaudhary, Haribhai Chaudhary, Sureshbhai Soni, Nalinbhai Mehta, Dilneshbhai Chaudhary (Sarpanch), Mukeshbhai Chaudhary, Kaushikbhai Chaudhary, Nalinbhai Bhatt, Divsbhai Chaudhary and youth of the village.
Nadiadwala Shri Keshav Bhawani Maharaj started katha from 7th February and as the people come to know, people started pouring to have darshan of Maadi and in the last days, around to fifteen to twenty thousand people were coming to attend katha and have darshan. During the whole katha, there was a very good arrangement for Prasad.
The arrangement made by the people of Charada really became exemplary. The whole village celebrated it as its own occasion. During these then days, the task of attending the guests coming from out stations, was taken up by Maadi’s sister-in-law Chandrikaben.
Maadi's Experience:
Many years ago, I had read, "A biography of yogi" in which, Lahiri Mahashay, in spite of living in India, became helpful to many people, he helped many people, and sometimes he would charge his body and help the people going abroad.
Similarly, Maadi would help his devotees, whenever they remember him or give them darshan. One close devotee of Maadi, Rajnikantbhai told me that his son-in-law and daughter had gone on tour and were enjoying boat-sailing in a lake and suddenly they fell down in the lake and they remembered Maadi and Chundadiwala Maa, in red Chundadi immediately, brought them out of water and saved their life. As they said this on returning home, everybody was surprised and since they all have deep belief in Maadi.
When we were going to Bhiwandi (Mumbai) on Tungar Hill to see Nityanand Swami, there was no petrol in the car. It was not possible to go by walking. At that time, Maadi asked to fill water from a tin and car was running.
Kailash Joshi was native of Mumbai, he had good business of hotel. Once I asked him how he believed in Maa. He told me that one of his close relatives was suffering from cancer. Doctors had advised to get operation done. He took blessing of Maa, you will get cured and you will not need to go to doctor. And there was a miracle. In just day his disease disappeared. He got himself examined with doctors, and then no disease was found. He was surprised with this miracle and since they became devotee of Maa and he is since serving Maa with gratitude.
Maa is staying at Chandubhai Adhryu’s place, who is living Piparadi Pole in Raipur. His wife had the problem of ashma. It was not cured in spite of trying different therapies. They told about it to Maa. He asked to eat weat-rotis (Malpuva) and after some days her asthma was cured.
Once, when Maadi stayed there, Sheth Shri Chhotalal Premchand (Calcutta) was taking bath and Kanku started flowing. Sheth was stunned and he (how down to Maa Ad got blessing.
Maadi saved Chandubhai too, twice from the jaws of death. When doctors washed off their hands, and when there was no other way touts, he had blessing of Maadi. Once he recovered from double pneumonia and heart attack. We have seen this event with our own eyes.
At Raipur at Chandubhai’s residence many distressed people will gather and queue up, and we will have to wait for an hour, if we want to talk to Maadi. Thus, many distressed people would come and have blessing and according to their belief, their problems got solved. Maa never took any money from anybody and would give blessing and would tell that have belief, you will get cured and Maa would not offend anybody.
Similarly, distressed people would gather before the cave at GAbbar, Ambajee on the full moon day and Maadi would cure them. For many ordinary illnesses, Maadi would acupuncture with needle and piecle ear with three such acupuncture, disease would disappear. I have seen so many such indicidents. Maadi would ask somebody to attend such five full moon days, his work would be done, he would be happy and bowing down to Maadi, having Prasad would return home happily.
And in Charada, there are so many incidents. Veljikaka is the old devotee of Maadi and serving since last 50 years. And he has got the fruits of it. His son Haribhai Chaudhary, even today, says, that, today whatever bungalows, cars, land and everything I have, that is due to Maadi. Otherwise, we were toiling in the fields. You can see where we are today, with his blessings. The whole village acknowledges this fact.
Another example is that of Sureshbhai Natubhai Soni. He is ardent follower of Maadi. He serves Maa day and night. He says that I performed yaguas at the cave of Maa and since then I have seen good days and I have become millionaire. I earn a log with the grace of Maa and I am happy. And he too serves Maadi like a shadow. He obeys every word of Maa.
In the earlier period of Maa’s life, when Mataji blessed, Madhubhai Laljibhai Chaudhary was ardent follower of Maadi. He had daughters but he did not have any son. After several effects, he talked to Maadi, and as if changing his fate, after penance in his field, blessed his and after few months a baby boy was born. And that son Baldevbhai Chaudhary is the fruit of Maa’s blessing.
Such old devotees of Maa, who have taken care of Maadi, include Chaudhary Virambhai Kalabhai, Chaudhary Vejljibhai, Chaudhary Kanjibhai Ghemarbhai, Soni Chimanlal Mohanlal, Soni Kantilal, Chaudhary Ghemarbhai Akheraj, Bapubhai Brahmbhatt, Ishwarbhai Muljibhai Patel, Chimanbhai Dodiya, Bhdubhai Bhatt and many other devotees. The service of Maadi cannot be forgotten.
Maadi is Param Yogi. He has developed yogic kriyas himself. He can easily perform shat charka Bhedan Mudras. Curious to know about such things, Himansubhai came to my place. At that time one Sadhu from HImalays had come to my place, so he came to see him and told me that he wants to learn all this. At that time I told him that, the Maadi sitting before you is Param Yogi. Get his blessing and if you get his grace your wish to learn mediation. You would be fulfilled. He bow down to Maadi and decided to go to the cave and get blessing of Maadi.
Later, Himansubhai went to the cave 3-4 times, but would reject him from the steps and make him get out. Still he was firm, so Maadi took test of him and called him on fourth time and made him sit and gave him blessing. Then he started to learn meditation yog as per Maadi’s instructions. And, when he met me, after a year, he talked to me at length and started telling me his experiences of meditation. He was constantly engaged in it. He was a senior officer at IFFCO, Kalol, but in the evening he was yogi and taking an hour’s sleep, he would dip down in the meditation. His experience stunned me.
Later, he was transferred to Uttar Pradesh (Bareilly), There he got more time, as he was alone. In cone such incident, during constant meditation, his soul reached to Brahmand and did not return back to his body, fell unconscious, doctors declare him dead. And after his funeral, it was told to Maadi, Maadi scolded them for their folly that you should at least talk to me. As he could not revert back from meditation, he got dead. Maadi consoled his family members. Maadi gave blessing to his wife to finish his unfinished task and also told that now his next birth would be that of complete yogi. Today, all his family-members living at Karmcharinagar, Ghatlodia are Maadi’s ardent followers.
One we went to Surat. Umrabhai is a big businessman dealing in the business of biscuits. He told Maadi, I want to give you a saari to ear. Let us go to the shop. We went to Vimal Saari Sale in Surat. We took some Saari’s selected by Maadi, Later, we went to my son, Dhirendra’s place in Surat. There, we got the news that, after our learning that saari shop, one lakh rupees was stolen from the cash box. That fellow was afraid, but at that time we were not at home. We had gone to Dhirajbhai Bakerywala’s place. That fellow come there and told Maadi almost weeping that, Maadi, my money is stolen. (After away the money).
You will get it back by tomorrow evening. He went home happily. Next day, at 11 O’clock, when he went to the shop, he saw the money in goh-boix, as it was very happy.
In the evening, we got the news that money have been recovered. So many such incident are there. Even moment, as you will desire, you will get Prasad. Even today, so many such incidents are happening in the lives of devotees at Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bharuch, Charada or all over Gujarat. The people wo are blessed by the miracle and blessings are very happy.
Though I do not want to talk about miracles, but there are many instants of what yogi can do with his blessing.
Maadi has got many achievements. He has got achievements of Siddh Shila. His Challenges have stunned me. He had talked about his achievements while talking to a Sadhu hailing from Himalaya, that you go by car or helicopter to Ambaji and I am coming on foot, let us see who reaches earlier. It maeans he can disappear his body here and can produce it there are that too in just one minute. I had real that Jagadguru Sukhracharya was doing so. Another incident is that, he by the grace of goddess Saraswati would just put his hand on a book and would tell you about its contents. He talked about this to Shadu, but to immediately tell that we cannot talk such things in lighter tone and it cannot be boasted about. But that Sadhu confirmed these things. Even today Maadi narrated some books in such a way that we would think that when would have the real all these. But we remember that he was got the achievement of knowledge. (Where Ramkrishna Paramhans had studied?) He can get knowledge of any book.
Maadi’s soul is pious, fortunate, complete, and upwardly mobile, he can see god and can be done with it. Soul is on such a height that we cannot reach it with our brain. Many a times our narrow mind won’t accept it that is it possible? But in past, it has happened in live of many devotees. On 24th May, 2004, I had to go to Ujjain for darshan of Mahakaleshwar with Maadi, Sureshbhai Soni and Kailashbhai Joshi. It’s a great fortune to have the darshan of god – goddesses, with Maadi. We decided to worship Mahakaleshwar, to worship dada. We talked to the priest of the temple, and priest too being cultured, he said, "Maadi can worship, he need not stand up in queue.We also were fortunate with him.
It’s a great fortune in the like to see Mahakaleshwar Shrinagar or Bhagan Aarti. It is indeed a chance to be soon in the early morning from 4.00 to 6.00 O’clock. We were overwhelmed and there Bhasm Puja was carried out, there was complete darkness. As if we would feel that we are in some supernatural land.
After Aarti was finished I naturally asked, that Maadi, how was the experience? Maadi in a highly emotional stage said that today, I am blessed, a dream of my life is fulfilled.
Data allowed me the darshan of Jyotirling at 12 O’clock and as Bhakta Vallabh Dhola had the darshan of Mataji in Shrinathji, similarly, Dada has today accepted my Chundadi, he wore it and I had darshan of Ardhnareshwar in that chundadi, and he became emotional. We enjoyed today’s incident and become blessed.
All these experiences took place before me and I have seen them all personality. This is truly experienced.
Such devotees include Patelsaheb, Bakabhai, Hansaben, Preetiben, Vejaybhai, his family, and Maadi’s followers are spread widely as far as Dhandhuka, Bharuch, Anklewshwar, Navsari, Vadodara, Surat, Mumbai, Mehsana, Visnagar, Palanpur, Kalol, Gandhinagar, Pune, Nasik, Sangli, and many other cities and villages.
Many devotees would come and Maadi would give them blessings, but it does not mean that everybody’s pain and diseases would dissolve. Surprise happens so, then what will happen to nature’s law, law of Karma. Every man has to suffer fruits of his deeds. Even man has to suffer fruits of his deeds. Even deities are helpless against this law of nature. Of course, it is true that, you can be saved from a big blow.
